Why is a speech-language pathologist (SLP) the best communication coach?

A communication coach with a master’s degree in speech pathology is the most qualified professional to help with your communication concerns. Speech-language pathologists are communication experts. It is natural for us to work with individuals who want to improve public speaking or leadership communication skills for professional or personal reasons. We have a deep understanding of the anatomy and physiology of speech and a strong background in phonetics. We have been trained extensively in the methods to improve voice, grammar, vocabulary, and articulation. With our knowledge and experiences, we can quickly determine each person’s unique needs and identify the primary areas to focus on during training.

At Connected Speech Pathology, our coaches have met rigorous educational and clinical qualifications, including a master’s degree. Additionally, our communication coaches have been awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

What is involved in a communication coaching assessment?

Our assessments are client-centered, meaning that your communication coach will take the time to listen and determine personal goals. We will record and listen to your speech carefully during a reading of simple words, sentences, and longer speech samples. We may also conduct a voice assessment involving a vocal analysis using state-of-the-art instrumentation.

Our communication coaches can recommend an estimated number of meetings to accomplish your goals. We expect clients to attend all coaching sessions and practice diligently.

Feeling overwhelmed?

Don’t worry! We’ll make this easy for you! Just let us know what is going on, and we’ll walk you through the process.

We help executives and professionals express themselves with more clarity, integrity, and confidence in everyday work situations, especially when the pressure’s on.

How does communication training work?

Our approach involves exercises, materials, real-life practice suggestions, objective feedback, and a set of tools to help clients improve their communication skills. A communication coach can address vocal characteristics, such as pitch and intonation, and nonverbal communication patterns, such as gestures and facial expressions.

Meet with a communication coach from the comfort of your home or office.

Private coaching sessions are one-to-one, individualized, and interactive.

We’ll meet using our simple and secure teleconferencing platform—making it convenient to attend communication skills training from anywhere. All you’ll need is a computer or tablet and an internet connection.

We understand how busy executives and professionals are, so we offer convenient scheduling throughout the week, during the day, and in the evenings after work.

Every client receives a communication coaching program that is customized around specific needs and goals. The length of your coaching program will be based on the information gathered during our initial assessment.

By the end of your program with a communication coach, you can expect to improve your executive presence and public speaking communication skills, speak with greater confidence, and be consistently understood by listeners.

Fees start at $75 per session, depending on each meeting’s length in 30, 45, or 60-minute increments. We are a private pay practice and do not accept insurance.
