Sydney Parriott, MA, CCC-SLP, MBA, has spent her career at the intersection of science, strategy, and speech. A lifelong communicator, Sydney's journey began with a bachelor's degree in Communication Science and Disorders from the University of Missouri in 2010. She earned her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas in 2016 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri in 2022. This unique blend of clinical expertise and business acumen allows her to approach professional communication coaching with a rare combination of evidence-based practice and strategic insight.

Her career began at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, where she completed her clinical fellowship, working with complex long-term acute care patients recovering from strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. Here, she became FEES-trained, deepening her expertise in swallowing disorders. She then transitioned to The University of Kansas Health System, where she refined her skills in acute care, tackling some of the most challenging cases in dysphagia management. Now working in the outpatient setting, Sydney has focused on clinic business development, advancing dysphagia treatment, and—her true passion—professional communication coaching.

Sydney's communication skills extend far beyond the clinic. A former Kansas state champion in Informative Speaking and a two-time top 60 finisher in the National Forensics League's Original Oratory category, she has spent years perfecting the art of persuasive, impactful speaking. Her deep interest in psychology informs her approach, making her particularly adept at coaching professionals in conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, and self-confidence in communication. Whether helping a leader navigate high-stakes conversations or guiding a professional toward clearer, more effective messaging, Sydney equips her clients with the skills to communicate confidently and clearly.

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Sydney finds balance outside of work through creativity and curiosity. She has a keen eye for hidden gems in thrift stores and sews many of her own clothes, a skill that combines her love for craftsmanship and self-expression. At home, Sydney shares her space with her cat, Poussey, named after a favorite TV character. Just as she stitches together fabric to create something new, she helps her clients weave together their thoughts, emotions, and delivery to present their best selves in every conversation.
