JoAnna Sloggy, PhD, CCC-SLP

JoAnna Sloggy is from Lexington, Kentucky. She received academic degrees from Methodist University (BA, Music), the University of Memphis (MA, Communication Sciences & Disorders), and the University of Kentucky (Ph.D., Rehabilitation Sciences). JoAnna is currently a singing voice specialist.

Dr. Sloggy has over ten years of experience working as a speech-language pathologist. She is passionate about evaluating and treating general voice disorders and professional voice users. JoAnna has significant training and experience with the voice in both classical and contemporary commercial music (CCM) genres and vocal pedagogy. She has performed extensively as a musical theater performer and runs a private studio focusing on training performers for careers in the arts and vocal coaching for on-air personalities. She is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) and Speak Out! programs for Parkinson’s disease.

JoAnna is also a specialist in the areas of accent modification, corporate communication training, and Gender-Affirming Voice care. She is also highly skilled in working with individuals with fluency and articulation disorders.

Dr. Sloggy holds SLP state licenses in Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Oregon and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She enjoys cooking, trying out new recipes, and baking delicious treats in her free time.
