Eileen Hunsaker M.S. CCC-SLP
Eileen Hunsaker (she/her) was born in California but has lived in many states and several other countries. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Brigham Young University and her Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Utah. Eileen has over 30 years of experience as an SLP in various settings.
She continues as an Assistant Professor of Speech and Language Pathology and has worked in several graduate programs on the East Coast. She thoroughly enjoys teaching courses in brain injury, aphasia, dementia, ethics, and professional issues and teaching graduate students how to provide therapy to clients within a university clinic. Eileen has specialized training in diversity, equity, and inclusion and strives to practice what she has learned in each coaching or therapy session.
She is skilled in supporting clients in the assessment and treatment of articulation disorders, language delays or disorders, fluency/stuttering, and social communication deficits for individuals of all ages. She is a certified accent modification provider and also has a special interest in professional communication and executive function coaching.
Eileen is passionate about helping her clients to communicate in all environments and feel empowered and confident. Eileen is semi-fluent in Spanish, having lived abroad in Costa Rica and Colombia. She has intermittently provided therapy in Spanish.
Eileen is licensed in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania and has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Eileen currently lives in the metro Philadelphia area with her two teenage children. When she is not working, you can find her hiking, spending time with her children, practicing mindfulness, and attending concerts and the theater. She loves the beach and likes to bake, enjoy a Netflix mystery series, and relax in her hammock with a good book.
