Amanda Harriss M.A. CCC-SLP
Amanda Harriss was raised in Boone, NC, in the Blue Ridge Mountains. She received her degrees from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. She holds a B.A. in Psychology, a B.S. in Communication Disorders, and an M.A. in Speech Pathology.
Amanda has been practicing speech pathology since 1998 and has worked with numerous populations in different settings and a few other countries. She enjoys evaluating as she likes to put the puzzle pieces together. Because of her experience, she uses many techniques to approach speech/language deficits. She enjoys working with children and adults and the different obligations that come with a varied caseload. She enjoys parent/partner education to incorporate the family into the process of speech therapy. Amanda enjoys helping others with communication skills, as everyone deserves a voice to speak their truth.
Amanda holds licenses in North Carolina, Oregon, California, and Tennessee. She also has her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association.
Amanda now lives in Sevierville, TN, with her youngest son. Her older son is in Boone, NC, attending Appalachian State University. She loves spending time with family, reading, being outdoors, Netflix, and baking bread.
